Sacramento Sheriff Deputy Arrested for Sexual Acts with Minor

June 15, 2019

A Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested for having sex with a sixteen year old boy. Investigators provided that Shauna Bishop surrendered herself to police and was later released on bail. An investigation yielded potential charges of child molestation and unlawful sex with a minor.

Bishop is a 5 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department in Sacramento, California. She has been on paid leave ever since the spark of the investigation.

Investigator say that Bishop did not meet the victim through work and the alleged acts occurred while she was off-duty.

It is anticipated that Bishop will face felony charges and be formally arraigned in court in the next month.
