Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Pleads Guilty in Stabbing Case

April 18, 2022

The daughter of box Floyd Mayweather has pleaded guilty to a stabbing incident that occurred in 2020. Iyanna Mayweather, 21, admitted in a Texas courtroom to “unlawfully, intentionally and unknowingly” causing injury “with a knife” to a victim, according to court records.

The victim has also filed a civil lawsuit against Mayweather for alleged physical pain and mental distress, physical impairment, medical expenses, loss of income, and disfigurement. The victim is not asking for a specified amount of damages.

Mayweather was arrested in April 2020 after an altercation with the victim and rapper NBA Youngboy. It’s unclear of the incidents that led up to the stabbing. NBA Youngboy and Mayweather used to be in a relationship, but the victim has a child with the rapper.

The attorney for NBA Youngboy says that the rapper is not liable for damages to the victim because Mayweather was solely responsible for the attack.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery.

Mayweather will be sentenced on June 16 where she faces up to 6 years of probation. The plea agreement reached with prosecutors will allow Mayweather’s conviction to be vacated after the successful completion of her probation.
